With flush decor in mind, the white console of the 6160 blends smooth with every wall inside a home or business and its contoured, removable door strengthens this keypad's sense of aesthetic. In case of an emergency, the function keys are accessible without opening the door.
A bigger and brighter 32-character display allows the system to easily communicate with you via English. With soft touch keys, the panel takes on less wear and tear and this panel features a speaker with audible beeps to alert you of changes in the system. Simple control.
NOTE: Not compatible with the 4100 Series.

Excellent keypad, one of these and the 6150RF keypad came with the system that I purchased. This keypad makes programming a breeze, wished now that I had upgraded to the 6160RF as the second keypad, may still do that in the near future. It's nice seeing the zone name displayed when a fault has occurred.Rating
Wanted to give "Mike" at the Home Security Store a big "thanks" for helping me get the wireless portion set up properly. He spent around 30-40 minutes on the phone with me getting it squared away, and by the way, he called me the following day after an email was sent. Any company can sell items, it's the customer service that makes all the difference, they've earned my future business! I used two of the 6160 Ademco pads for my alarm installation at my home. Installation was very easy as was programming. One is by the entry doors and I used a 2nd one in the master bedroom so that during an alarm during the night, I could see which circuit was breached an know where the intruder was located within the perimeter o the house. I also used the same 6160 pad on my neighbors alarm system, and would buy this one again. This key pad does everything needed and with just a glance tells you all you wish to know. There is a chime included that I have set to chime whenever my utility garage door is opened or a detached garage zone is breached when the system is not armed. This feature allows me to know the status of a detached building even during the day time when the alarm is not in the armed state. Well worth the money. (Posted on 3/12/2011)Rating
